Danced since ancient times (the date is unclear but “almorratxa” is a glass bowl Arabic name) al though the music seems of the eighteenth century. It´s origin will be the "Dance of the Cirio",inau guration of the new" obrers "(administrators).
The protagonists are 4 pairs of dancers. The girls are usually dressed in white long and elegant, the boys wear dark. Girls are four "workers"  elected for one year. The "obrers" are elected for four years and its role is to accompany the girls be fore the dance,as if they were presented in socie ty,and to assign a dancer. The first part of the dance is slow and the dance components of each couple dance holding the right hand. Later, the girls remember the episode with the young Arabic and the girl from Lloret and pull the “almorratxa” to the ground with the intention of breaking it. Tradition says that if the "almorratxa" breaks the girl will be married  in the following year, other wise she will never be.
The act ends with festive music which is called “toquen a correr”
