CaixaForum Barcelona repasará los últimos 25 años de trayectoria del artista en una gran muestra que permitirá al espectador vivir la experiencia pictórica de Barceló.
La exposición organizada por la Obra Social ”la Caixa” no solo celebra los logros de este importante artista vivo de talla internacional en los últimos 25 años, sino que sobre todo ofrece al espectador la posibilidad de entender el misterio, la adrenalina y la incertidumbre personal que implica el proceso creativo de Miquel Barceló (Felanitx, 1957).
Así, esta muestra es clave para poder experimentar de forma coherente y emocionante la obra de Barceló con más de 180 piezas, desde grandes telas creadas a partir del año 1983 hasta las más recientes, pasando por sus piezas cerámicas y escultóricas, sin olvidar las acuarelas, dibujos, pósters, libros y cuadernos de viaje. Todo ello permite subrayar el ritmo y la variedad de su trayectoria.
El objetivo de la muestra es que el público pueda vivir la obra de Barceló como una experiencia. Para ello, el artista se ha implicado directamente en la selección de obras, prestando algunas telas de su propia colección que convierten la exposición en un auténtico acontecimiento, y no tanto en una retrospectiva de su trabajo. El público descubrirá su respuesta enérgica al mundo material, su relación con la tradición, sus viajes –físicos y mentales, y a través del espacio y el tiempo–, el uso de elementos insólitos y su representación del mundo humano y animal.

Barcelona CaixaForum review the last 25 years of experience of the artist in a large sample that will allow the viewer to live the Barceló pictorial experience.
The exhibition organized by the Obra Social "la Caixa" not only celebrates the achievements of this important living artist of international stature in the last 25 years, but above all it offers the viewer a chance to understand the mystery, adrenaline and personal uncertainty involving the creative process of Miquel Barceló (Felanitx, 1957).
Thus, this sample is key in order to experience a consistent and exciting Barceló's work with over 180 pieces, from large canvases created from 1983 to the most recent, going through their ceramic pieces and sculptures, not to mention the watercolors , drawings, posters, books and travel books. All this serves to underline the pace and variety of his career.
The aim of the show is that the public can experience the work of Barceló as an experience. For this, the artist was directly involved in the selection of works, with some fabrics from her own collection to make the exhibition a real event, and not so much a retrospective of his work. The public will discover a strong response to the material world, its relationship with tradition, his travels, physical and mental, and through space and time, "using unusual elements and their representation of human and animal world.
