Es uno de los escenarios con más renombre de la ciudad de Barcelona.
Se trata de un anfiteatro de piedra, al aire libre , que fue diseñado y construido el año 1929 con motivo de la Exposición Universal que se celebró en esta ciudad.
Solo abre sus puertas en la estación veraniega , y en él se desarrolla la programación del GREC (certamen de carácter internacional que este año ha celebrado su 33ª edición y que cultiva distintas artes: teatro, música, cine , . . . ).Próximamente se desarrollarán nuevas actividades a raiz de las fiestas de la Mercè, la patrona de la ciudad.
Es éste, en definitiva, un espacio que permite no solo gozar de una buena velada musical sino que también nos permite tomar una copa o cenar en los hermosos jardines de Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier, gran arquitecto paisajista francés que trabajó mayoritariamente en París
Os recomiendo también que vayáis cuando está vacío ya que el paseo también vale la pena.

It is one of the most renowned venues in the city of Barcelona.
